Power of attorney given to Mirza Zayn al-‘Abidin, son of Haji Muhammad Hasan from Shiraz, by Muhammad Ja‘far Tajir [the merchant] from Shiraz, son of Haji Muhammad Ibrahim Tajir from Shiraz, for six months from the time of this contract in order to get his rights and what is owed to him, from Khanum Hajiyah (wife of Muhammad Shafi‘ Tajir from Abu Shihr [Bushihr]) and her sister (wife of Muhammad Riza), daughters of Haji Muhammad Husayn from Kazirun. Dated October 5, 1908

1- Baygum Khanum gives the power of attorney for the collection and division of her paternal inheritance from her brother, Aqa Muhammad ʻAli (known as Kas Aqa), to her husband, Aqa Muhammad the son of Haji Ismaʻil (July 8, 1868); 2- Settlement of Mirza Musa Khan and Muhammad Khan representing themselves and their wives, Narjis Khanum and Baygum Khanum, with Muhammad ʻAli (known as Kas Aqa [their brother-in-law]) regarding the maternal inheritance of their wives and the deductions due to the payment of her debts (September 16, 1877).

Correspondence amongst Malakah Iran (Furugh al-Dawlah), the Treasury, and the Ministry of Finance regarding the approval of the Cabinet to pay five thousand tumans to Malakah Iran to compensate for damages to her house when it was bombarded along with the Majlis during the Constitutional Revolution, and requesting the remaining two thousand and five hundred tumans. After Malakah Iran's death, her son, Muhammad Nasir Zahir al-Sultan, asks the Ministry of Finance to account for the remaining money as part of his taxes of seventy-six kharvars (unit of weight) of barley from Mast Khuban village...
